September 9-11, 2027
Athens, Greece
Divani Caravel Hotel
It is my great honor, as President of the Hellenic Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology
(HAOST) for 2027, to welcome you to the 83rd Annual Conference of our Association, which will take place
in Athens, Greece.
Founded in 1947, the Hellenic Association proudly celebrates 80 years of continuous contribution and
excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology. Throughout those decades, HAOST has served as a
vibrant scientific home for generations of Orthopaedic surgeons. In recognition of its longstanding
commitment and distinguished scientific work, the Academy of Athens honored the Association with the Award
of Excellence in 2004.
The 2027 Conference represents a landmark collaborative meeting between HAOST and the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the largest and most reputable society worldwide.
Allow me to remind you that in the last decades, it has become an established tradition for ambitious
Greek Orthopaedic Surgeons to pursue advanced training and prestigious fellowships in the United States.
They receive education of the highest standard, refine their skills and emerge as highly competitive
specialists and leaders within their respective subspecialties. Through these academic exchanges and
shared experiences, strong and enduring bonds have been cultivated between the American Academy and the
Hellenic Association, reinforcing a relationship built on mutual respect, collaboration, and scientific
excellence.
The Congress will offer a dynamic scientific program featuring keynote lectures, panel discussions and
expert presentations. The Scientific Committee is a guarantee of the high quality of both the speakers and
the content of the conference. It will also be an excellent opportunity for networking, fostering
collaboration and innovation within the Orthopaedic community.
The Hippocratic Dialogues – Masterclasses in Orthopaedics, taking place from 5-8 September 2027 as a
pre-Congress event, is sought as an exceptional opportunity for bonding between the members of the
American Academy and the Hellenic Association. The event will feature high-level scientific presentations
by leading experts, set within the inspiring environment of the Hellenic heritage, the land where
Hippocrates once taught.
We warmly look forward to your participation in what promises to be engaging, educational, and a memorable
experience.
